Serbia, officially the Republic of Serbia (Serbian: Република Србија, Republika Srbija), is a landlocked country located at the crossroads of Central- and Southeastern Europe, covering the southern lowlands of the Carpathian basin and central part of the Balkans. Serbia borders Hungary to the north; Romania, Bulgaria to the east; Republic of Macedonia to the south; and Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro to the west; its border with Albania is disputed. Despite the country's small size, the EU's largest river and tributary to the Black sea, the Danube, passes through Serbia with 21% of its overall length, joined by its biggest tributaries, the Sava and Tisza rivers.Serbia's capital city, Belgrade, is among the most populous in Southeastern Europe.
After Montenegro's indipendence, cans are now reporting "Serbia" or "Republic of Serbia" as country of origin.
