Macedonia (Macedonian: Македонија; ), officially the Republic of Macedonia (Република Македонија, transliterated: Republika Makedonija, is a landlocked country located in the central Balkan peninsula in Southeastern Europe. It is one of the successor states of the former Yugoslavia, from which it declared independence in 1991. It became a member of the United Nations in 1993, but as a result of a dispute with Greece over its name, it was admitted under the provisional reference of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, sometimes abbreviated as FYROM.

The above ''Skopsko'' ( made in Skopje ) is known in three different versions, namely : made in Yugoslavia, made in Macedonia and made ( as it is called now the country ) in FYROM or Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia. This last name was imposed by initiative of Greece, in order to not create confusion with the previous denomitation which was similar to one of its main regions.
